This morning I received a very exciting email from a Mr. Don Fisher, who inquired about one of my paintings:

 

I'm interested in buying your painting grand-lake-ii-gabriel-roberts-art Hello, These particular artwork of yours that you have for sale, is it still available and detailed price. Don.

I replied immediately:

Hiya Don, Thanks for the email! "Grand Lake I" and "Grand Lake II" are both available and for sale at $150 each. I'd love for them to stay together—if you'd like to buy both they're yours for $275. They're currently unframed. Please let me know if you're interested in having them framed for an additional fee. We can complete the transaction via cash, personal check, or remotely via credit card or paypal. I'm currently located in Sacramento, CA. Cheers, Gabriel

A few hours later, I received a response from Don:

Hello, Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, Im on my way to Mexico on an official trip(I'm a marketing Executive) and wont be back for another two weeks, I would have come to inspect the piece personally. Im taking your word for true on It though. I'm okay with the price $275. for both and i'll like them framed, so what's the charges to frame them, I think it worth it anyway. If you'd like to know, Im relocating to the South Africa soon and I'm trying to gather some good stuff for my new abode. Im buying yours amongst others,quickly! before someone else grabs it.So, I'll arrange to send you payment ASAP. However, I'll have to notify my shipper who's helping me move my stuff to get set for the pickup of the piece from your place as I MIGHT be delayed depending on how things goes. Thanks, PS: In the mean time, kindly get back to me with your Full Name,Contact Address and also your phone# so I can get a check prepared and have it sent out to you ASAP. Don.

I was a bit taken aback by the elaborate circumstances of Don’s purchase, but thrilled that he wanted to buy both pieces.  As luck would have it, completing the transaction wouldn’t be so difficult after all!

Dear Don, I'm going to Mexico too! My trip isn't on official business, but perhaps I can just meet you there! What part of Mexico are you going to be in? Would be fun to meet in person and maybe share a cerveza! Best, Gabriel
